Hi! I’m Sofía Alderete Hopmann, founder of Sofía’s Language Point Academy, a place where languages are taught with passion, closeness and professionalism. I accompany students of all ages -children, teenagers, adults and seniors- to discover the pleasure and power of learning foreign languages.

My academy offers face-to-face and online classes in Spanish, German, English and French, adapted to each profile and pace of learning. Whether you are starting from scratch, perfecting a language for your studies or preparing for new professional challenges, my aim is for you to learn efficiently, comfortably and with confidence.

My background

I graduated in Translation and Interpreting (French-German) at the University of Murcia, which I complemented with an Erasmus stay at the Université de Strasbourg. I also completed a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary School, High School and Language Teaching, specialising in French.

I work as a language teacher in several academies and companies, teaching German, French, English and Spanish, both face-to-face and online. I have also worked as a French teacher in a public high school and as an interpreter in the medical-social field. My experience is completed with collaborations in areas such as customer service and tourism.

I am fluent in Spanish and German as native languages, and I have an advanced level in English and French, with official certifications. I also have skills in technology applied to teaching and translation, as well as a great rapport with children and teenagers.
